Long time no comment, Valentino Rossi finally spoke about his decision to leave Ducati and Yamaha rejoined the MotoGP season in 2013. For the first time, "The Doctor" made statements to the public since the announcement he was leaving the Ducati on Friday (08/10/2012).
Rossi, who just two podium finishes since joining Ducati in early 2011, to comment through his Twitter account (@ ValeYellow46):
"It's a shame not competitive on the Ducati. It would be a great satisfaction for me and everyone who works with me, and all our tifosi.
"However, there are still eight more races until the end of the season and we will continue to do our best to get some exciting races. Ciao everything from Indy. # Valeducati"
Next season, Rossi will be the tandem Jorge Lorenzo, after he agreed to sign a contract duration of two years. This will be a repeat of the 2008-2010 season, when they also had been a teammate.
Rossi makes a point of departure in the Ducati is still empty. So far there has been no official announcement of Ducati on who will be the companion Nicky Hayden in the new season later.
